There are fashions, points of attention, trends within academic dciplins that practically determine what

people will mostly focus on.

If you worked in language side of humanities, people believed there was a core information and those
shoud be studied.

School of Resentment Canon is worthless because it consists of just one type: White men.

These kind of arguments did not help to revise the canon but destroying them.

Bloom  They are simply better than anything produced. If you don’t understand them your education
was not perfect.

When you do any type of research, you should look for pattterns.

Hyped phenemeno They give some kind of insight about what attracts attention on certain times.

Citations Mentions of academic work in other academic work. They are important but not that
important because they are not a good way to measure the goodness of the work.
