In this semester your capstone project is about system and feedback, explain how can you

use this idea to make a better decision and how this affecting in your personality

The capstone project on system and feedback provides an opportunity for us as a students in
STEM School to develop our decision-making skills while working towards solving real-world
challenges. In STEM School, we are tasked with solving the Egyptian eleven grand challenges,
which include addressing the effects of climate change and increasing the industrial and
agricultural bases of Egypt. By developing a feedback system for agriculture or aquaculture
processes, we applied the concept of feedback to improve the efficiency of these sectors.

The capstone project also has a positive impact on our personality development. For instance,
when faced with a challenge related to a worker's performance, we applied critical thinking skills
to analyze the situation and propose effective solutions. In doing so, we learn to take into
consideration the consequences of their decisions and to communicate effectively to achieve a
peaceful resolution. Such experiences equip students with essential soft skills, including
problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution, that are necessary in their our careers.

To sum up, the capstone project provides us with a platform to apply our knowledge and skills in
a practical context. Through our experiences in this project, we develop not only technical skills
but also critical thinking and soft skills.
One of the most important steps in the EDP is testing the prototype.
Explain a plan to improve your project in case your test plan gives good results

In the engineering design process, the test plan and result analysis stages are crucial for
evaluating a project's success and making necessary improvements. Our capstone project aimed
to develop a smart agriculture feedback system to optimize plant growth to solve the challenges
faced by the agriculture sector in Egypt. To evaluate the effectiveness of our system, we
conducted a test plan by simulating our prototype with a cordyline plant and monitored its
growth rate for approximately 7 days. The plant's growth rate at its ideal conditions was 0.5
cm/day, but we aimed to improve it further.

To address this, we followed the EDP by taking a step towards our recommendations. We added
a 3D printed fan with a new design to ensure its efficiency. Additionally, we implemented an
adjustable light intensity lamp to achieve the most accurate light intensity for the plant's needs.
After conducting a second test, our system demonstrated significant improvement, achieving a
plant growth rate of 0.7 cm/day.
This process highlights the importance of continuous improvement in the engineering design
process. By testing and analyzing our prototype, we were able to identify areas for improvement
and make necessary adjustments to achieve our desired results to make our project aligned with
the Egyptian vision for 2030.
In (BI.2.10) you are studding natural selection, if you are working on a fish farming project
how can you benefit from your studding to explain three factors that affect positively on
production of the farm.

If working on a fish farming project, the principles of natural selection can be applied to improve
production. Four factors that are the most positively affecting the production of the fish farm
which are Selective breeding, natural adaptation, predator control and nutritional balance:
Selective Breeding: By selectively breeding fish with desirable traits such as fast growth, disease
resistance, and tolerance to specific environmental conditions, the offspring produced can have
these traits enhanced, resulting in better production.
Natural Adaptation: By mimicking the natural habitat of the fish in the farm, their natural
adaptation process can be leveraged to increase production. This includes maintaining water
temperature, pH level, and oxygen levels similar to those in their natural environment.
Predator Control: By managing predator populations around the fish farm, the fish can grow and
reproduce without being eaten, leading to an increase in production.
Nutritional Balance: By providing fish with the right balance of nutrients in their diet, their
growth rate can be maximized, leading to higher production.
To sum up, by understanding and applying the principles of natural selection in fish farming,
production can be improved through selective breeding, natural adaptation, predator control, and
nutritional balance.
(PH.2.13) Analyze the filtering characteristics of circuits containing capacitors and/or
inductors.
Explain how your studding in (PH.2.13) affecting on your project as a system and
feedback. Give an example from your project clarifying this point.
Studying the filtering characteristics of circuits containing capacitors and/or inductors in PH.2.13
is essential in understanding how to design and implement filtering circuits to improve the
performance of electronic systems. This knowledge is particularly useful in our project, which
involves developing a smart sustainable agriculture feedback system to feedback the light
intensity changing and temperature variations. In our project, we are using capacitors and
inductors in our circuits to filter out unwanted signals and noise from our sensors, ensuring
accurate data collection and analysis.

For example, we are using an LDR light intensity sensor in our system, which is connected to an
RC high-pass filter circuit. The circuit is designed to filter out low-frequency noise that can
interfere with the sensor readings, allowing us to collect more accurate data on the light intensity
in the plant growth environment. Similarly, we are using a PTC heater to maintain the
temperature range in the plant growth environment, which is connected to an LC low-pass filter
circuit. The circuit is designed to filter out high-frequency noise that can interfere with the PTC
heater's performance, ensuring that the heater operates optimally and maintains the desired
temperature range.

By applying our knowledge of filtering characteristics of circuits containing capacitors or

inductors, we were able to design and implement circuits that effectively filter out unwanted
signals and noise from our sensors, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis. This, in turn,
improves the performance of our smart sustainable agriculture feedback system by optimizing
the plant growth environment and reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the agriculture
sector.
