Read the comprehension passage.

There are very few people who haven't hear of Lance Armstrong. Some may know him as a
champion cyclist who set the world record by winning Tour de France seven times. Some
may know him as a founder of Lance Armstrong Foundation or by yellow LIVESTRONG
wristbands. Others may know him as a cancer survivor who fight against the deadly disease,
and came out the winner.

Lance Armstrong was born onn 18 September 1971. Athletic from a young age. Lance
competed in a number of triathlons and became a hero. After competing in the 1992
Olympic Games, Lance entered the world of professional cycling, entering his first Tour de
France in 1995. At the top of the game and his mother by his side. Lance seemed to have it
all.

Unfortunately, in October 1996,everything changed when Lance was diagnosed with cancer
eventually spread to his lungs and brain. His chances of getting well were less than 50%, but
Lance did not give up. Remarkably, though, after treatment in just five months, Lance was
back on a bike after rebuilding his strength.

Nike,the sportswear company, created the bright yellow wristband as a tribute to Lance
Armstrong and in support of people living with cancer. Yellow is the colour of hope, courage,
inspiration and perseverance. Nike set a goal to raise at least $5 million for the Lance
Armstrong Foundation, mostly through the sale of LIVESTRONG wristbands and donated an
additional $1 million.

LIVESTRONG wristbands represent unity in the battle against cancer and hope for all those
who are living with cancer. Since the begining of the campaign, the wristband have been
sold in over 60 countries and spotted on a number of athletes. Olmpians, musicians, actors
and political leaders. The foundation has raised more than 13 million dollars for cancer
research.

Lance went on to fully recover win the Tour de France a record seven times his fight with
cancer. He is a ray of hope and a source of inspiration for people who need it the most.
