SCANNER CABLE SPECIFICATIONS

For series S55xB, S700 and S800 viewing heads, cable between processor and
viewing head is based on the following specifications.

For run up to 300 meters (1000 feet)

Number of conductors = 3+1 shielded

Conductor size and strands (unshielded)

1.29 mm dia or 1.3 sq.mm cross sectional area (16 Awg) 19 strands.

Conductor size and strands (Shielded)

1.29 mm dia or 1.3 sq.mm cross sectional area (16 Awg) and 19 strands.

Color Code – Unshielded - Black, Red and Green

Color Code Shielded - White

Conductor outside cover – All conductors

Crossed Linked – Polyethylene 0.45 mm (0.017 inches)

For shielded conductor

Shield shall be 36 awg braided to cover 90%+ of the conductor.
Braiding should be covered with 0.012” jacket –color black.

Overall Coverage
Crossed Linked Polyethylene and internal filled with Polypropylene to provide
roundness.

For distance longer than 300 meters (1000 feet), use similar cable with higher
gauge conductors.
