    SUBJECT: On Monitoring of Containment and Confinement Facilities

    All lnstitutional Biosafety Committees (lBCs), whether active or inactive, are reminded of their
    responsibility to monitor and continuously evaluate the implementation of activities related to the use of
    Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) under contained and/or confined test conditions. The lBCs are
    responsible for continuously evaluating compliance with the terms of approval and reportorial
    requirements set by the DOST-Biosafety Committee.

    Please be guided accordingly. This circular shall form part of the Philippine Biosafety Guidelines for
    Contained Use of GMOs.
