1, What do you think of the education system in Vietnam?

 I think that the education system of Vietnam today is gradually improving to

integrate with the international education program. However, there are still
some emerging problems that most people can see. Our education system still
cares too much about achievements and focuses on an exam-driven curriculum,
which I find unduly stressful for both teachers and students. Besides, most of
the knowledge learned is difficult to apply in practice.
2, How important do you think education is to an individual?
 I have a strong believe that education plays an important role in our life, not
only for an individual, but also for a country. It is no coincidence that schools
are considered our second home, especially in Vietnam, encouraging parents to
send their children to school is a top issue with cutting-edge tuition policies.
Education has brought us so much of valuable knowledge, that helps us change
and improve ourselves. To get in touch with different knowledge will help us
understand more about ourselves, where we're good and how flaw we are.
Those things will make people have a better vision about us. Besides, with all
the learning, we can get used to other friends without feeling spontaneous or
confused.
3, How important are the roles of theory and practice in your discipline?
 In my discipline, the importance of theory and practice is the same. When we
embark on something without basic theoretical knowledge, unnecessary
mistakes will inevitably occur and consume more time. And conversely, when
we have profound theoretical knowledge but cannot be applied in practice, all
we have is just zero.
4, What do you think are the major problems in the Vietnamese education
system?
 As you may know, Vietnam is a developing country with constant efforts to
integrate with the world, along with many shortcomings in all aspects,
especially in the education system. The education system at this time is still too
focused on theory and scores from tests, many students after completing the
study program still have difficulty in applying the knowledge they have been
taught. This has become a frustrating problem because the study is too heavy
but has no results, wasting time, money and effort. But this problem is being
solved gradually, I believe that in the future, our learning environment will be
much improved and help us to explore our talents more effectively.
5, How important do you think the computer is in education today? Are there
any subjects computers cannot teach today?
 During the time of the Covid 19 pandemic, online learning has become more
popular than ever. The fact that we study and work on computers is no longer
strange, especially when most of the things we need are encapsulated in a
computer or a laptop. A computer that helps us study, relax, work, shop is
indeed very useful, but there are also things it cannot help us. The computer can
show the answer to the question, but that is only the final answer, if we do not
understand the steps to lead to the result, the computer cannot answer like the
teacher. So although computers are very useful and gradually replace humans in
many fields, they still cannot completely replace humans.
6, What do you think are the best qualities a good teacher should have?
 “Patience is a virtue” as the saying goes, and I believe teachers need to
possess this quality in abundance. It’s a tiring and stressful job, so teachers have
to be calm and in control at all times. They also need to have a passion for their
subject. I think that a few good qualities include being down-to-earth with
students, understanding their problems before judging them as right or wrong.
There are different kinds of teachers, but I would use this as rule of thumb.
