Common reasons for a student taking tuition
but not the exam usually include:
• Student commencing tuition before they receive
their results from the previous sitting, where
they may have failed an earlier exam.
• Promotional buy-one-get-one-free offers on
tuition courses. Some students may then be
enrolled for tuition when they have no intentions
of taking the exam at the following sitting.
• Enrolling for tuition in an unmanageable number of
exams. Some students will take tuition towards three
or four exams, but decide at a later stage that they
will not enter for all exams, due to other pressures.
