Brief Lesson Plan in Crop Production 9

I. Learning Objectives
       At the end of the discussion, at least 80% of the students are expected to:
a. define nursery/ farm tools and equipment,
b. identify correctly the required materials, tools and equipment; and,
c. write the proper function of such nursery/ farm tools and equipment.

II. Learning Content

- Printed lists and functions of modern equipment and farm tools

- Activity sheet on modern equipment and farm tools

A. Visit your nearby garden or farm, observe if the farmers are using proper tools
and equipment in preparing the field. Identify what tools and equipment are being
used by the gardener/ farmer.

B. As you go on with your observation on a nearby garden or farm, determine as to


whether or not the farmer or gardener maintain the tools and equipment. Do you
think proper maintenance of tools and equipment is important? Why or why not?
