Did you know that cigarette factories give many contributions to the country
that the government had to continue the industry although it may cause

disadvantages to human health? Cigarettes have always been a dilemmatic
commodity that will never end when debated. On one hand, the cigarette tax is
the largest contributor to the country's economy. But on the other hand,
cigarettes are also the largest burden for the country because a lot of the
National Health Insurance budget is spent on healthcare costs caused by
smoking.
the goal to choose this topic is hoped that health will be prioritized through
other alternative methods for cigarette factory workers to maintain the
percentage of the country's foreign exchange
Arguments
According to the industry ministry, the contribution of the tobacco products industry to the
country in 2016 gave Rp. 138,69 trillion or equal to 96,65% of national excise in total. The Ministry
of Manpower has the responsibility to protect the factory employees that will be the victims of
cigarette production limitations. The employee number in the manufacturing and distribution
sector reaches 4,28 million people and 1,7 million people in the plantation sector. So the country
has to continue the cigarette industry because it influences the lives of millions of people. Also,
the industry ministry has the obligation to protect the manufacturing production continuity
according to the constitution.

Conclusion
Cigarette factories in Indonesia can be closed or reduced gradually. in
short, we reduce the causes of disease in our own country but still benefit
from selling cigarettes abroad.
Workers will be given new jobs that are more beneficial for the environment
and themselves. on the other hand, cigarettes will continue to be exported
to foreign countries to maintain the country's foreign exchange value.

New jobs that can be opened with the easiest conditions are in the cleaning
sector. Such as janitors of city parks and other public places. later the
waste will be recycled to increase economic income. However, many
Indonesians are still afraid of the meager pay they can get with a job like
this. Therefore, in our opinion, the government should provide higher
salaries for workers in the cleaning sector so that they can live a decent life.
