due to the overload activity given by the teachers?

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


This research study aims to determine how having too many activities can
affect Grade 11 and 12 STEM students' mental health at Marcelino Fule Memorial
College in Alaminos Laguna . This study is based on the experiences of STEM
students in grade 11 and 12 who struggled with anxiety as a result of an
overabundance of activities. Many students should be made aware of this study's
findings since having too many obligations might make them feel stressed, anxious, or
even depressed, which can result in self-harm. We all know that many people struggle
with these mental health issues, and this study can assist. Specifically, this seek
answers to the following questions:
1. What is the demographic profile of the respondents?

1.2 Gender
1.3 Grade level
1.4 Marital status

2. What are the effects of overload activities in respondent’s mental health and
academic performances?

3. What is the strategy or technique for the respondents to avoid overloading of


activities?

2.1 Time management

4. What would be the easiest way to cope up with anxiety?

SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY


Scope:

-This study will focus on a sample of STEM 11 & 12 students at Marcelino Fule
Memorial College in the Philippines who are currently enrolled in undergraduate
programs.

-The study will explore the lived experience of anxiety and the effects of overload of
academic and extracurricular activities on mental health among STEM students.

-The study will use a phenomenological research design to gather detailed and in-
depth data on participants' experiences of anxiety and mental health.

Delimitations

- This Study does not cover the Experiences of Non-STEM Students due to the
reasons of the distribution of different task between subjects in Other Strands. This
also Includes the Opinions of Teachers and Influence of the Student's Parents.

- The study will be limited by the sample size, which will consist of a relatively small
number of STEM students at one college in the Philippines, and may not be
representative of the broader STEM student population.

- The study only includes the experiences of students who have experienced anxiety
specifically due to the overload of academic activities, such as exams, projects, and
homework.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
"THE STUDENTS"
This Study will help the Students to prevent and lessen their stresses when dealing
tons of activities, especially our main targets. This should help them with:

- Being more Adaptive on their surroundings


- To manage their priorities
- To develop their mental and emotional aspects
- To build up their Confidence

This Study also let the viewers understand the deeper views and difficult situations of
STEM Students is in. This study can help identify strategies for balancing academic
demands with self-care and stress management.

THE FUTURE RESEARCHER:


This study also helps the Future Researchers on making a newer version of this kind
of study due to the fact that this shows them the ideas of the related study.
