Riana duduk di dekat jendela besar loteng rumahnya. Ini menjadi tempat kesukaan Riana ketika
bintang-bintang sedang bertebaran di langit dan juga ketika ia sedang merindukan Ibu dan
Bapak yang bekerja di kota.

Translation:

Baskhoro: Riana sat near the large window in the attic of her house. This is Riana’s favorite spot
when the stars are scattered in the sky and also when she misses her Mother and Father who
work in the city.

Sinta : Riana sitting near the large window attic of her house. This is Riana’s favorite place
when the stars are scattered in the sky and also when she miss her Mom and Dad who working
in the city.

Astri : Riana sat near the large window attic of her house.

Riana sering mendengar kalau kita mengajukan permintaan saat ada bintang jatuh, maka
permintaan itu akan dikabulkan. Riana yang sudah lama merindukan kedua orang tuanya hanya
punya satu permintaan, yaitu diizinkan bertemu dengan Bapak dan Ibu.

Translation:
mariko jason: Riana often hears that if we make a petition when there is a shooting star, then it
will be granted. Riana, who had been missing her parents for a long time, only had one, that is
to be allowed to meet her father and mother.

Baskhoro: Riana often listens if we make a wish when there is falling star, the wishes will be

Felia: Riana repeatedly listens to the belief about making a wish towards a shooting star then it

Sudah berhari-hari ini Riana menghabiskan waktu setelah belajar di jendela loteng yang besar
itu. Memang ruangan yang nyaman sekali, dihias seperti kamar tidur. Hanya satu yang ia
tunggu, yaitu bintang jatuh. Biasanya, ia akan duduk di sana sampai pukul Sembilan malam,
lalu tidur di kamar. Namun, karena ini hari Sabtu, ia memutuskan untuk ada disana lebih lama.

Translation:

Risa : Riana had been spending her time after studying in the large attic window for days. It is a
very nice and comfy bedroom. The only thing she is waiting for was a shooting star. Usually,
she would sit there until nine at night, then sleep in the room. However, since it was saturday,
she decided to stay there a little bit longer.

Natalia : It's been a long day Riana spent after she studied in that large attic window.
Comfortable and beautiful bedroom. The only one she waited, a shooting star. As usual, she
would sit until nine, then sleep in there. However, due to the weekend, she would be there
longer.

Sinta : It’s been a days, Riana spent her time after studying in the large attic window. That room
is very comfortable. Just one thing she was waiting for, a shooting star. Usually, she will sit
there until nine o’clock at night, and then sleep

“Rin, yuk, turun, kita nonton di bawah,” terdengar suara Oma dari pintu loteng. “Sebentar lagi
Riana turun, ya, Oma. Masih mau disini dulu,” jawab Riana. Satu jam... dua jam .... tiga jam....

Tak satupun ada bintang jatuh, bahkan sampai Riana tertidur

Translation:
Sinta :”Rin, let’s go down, we’ll watch below,” heard Grandma’s voice from the attic door. “Riana
will come done in a minute, yes, Grandma. Still want to be here first,” said Riana. One hour…
Two hours… Three hours…

Not a single shooting star, even until Riana fell asleep.

Vena: “Rin, let’s go downstairs, we can watch it from below,” Grandma said from the attic door.

“Wait for a while, Grandma. I still want to be here,” said Riana. Several hours passed,
but there’s no shooting star, even when Riana fell asleep.

Felia: “Rin, let’s go downstairs, we could see it from below,” said Grandma from the attic
doorway. “Wait a minute, Grandma. Still want to be here awhile,” answer Riana.

Ia duduk di suatu perbukitan, saat ia melihat ke atas, ada bintang yang bertaburan, dan saat ia
melihat ke bawah, ada lampu-lampu kota yang juga mirip bintang. Di sekitar bukit itu ada
banyak sekali orang-orang yang duduk dan menikmati keindahan bintang-bintang. Semuanya
kompak tak bersuara keras, hanya tersenyum dan berbisik jika diperlukan.

Translation:

Felia: She sat on the hills, when she stared above, there were stars spread on the sky, and
when she looked down, there were city lights which looks like a shooting star. Around the hills,
there were a lot of people sat there while enjoying the beauty of the star. Everyone there
simultaneously kept silent, only smiling and whispering.

Sinta : She was sitting on hill, when she looked up, there were stars scattered, and when she
looked down, there were lights of city which also look like stars. Around the hill, there were a lot
of people sitting and enjoying the beauty of stars. Everyone was cohesive and not loud, just
smiled and whispered when needed.

Baskhoro: She sat at the hills, when she look up, there are stars scattered, and when she
looked down there were city lights that shaped like star. Around the hill there were a lot of
people that just sat down and enjoyed the beautifulness of the stars. All the people was silent,
and just smiled and whispered if needed.

Riana pun masih duduk di bukit itu sambil menunggu bintang jatuh.

“Mungkin di bukit ini, bintang jatuh lebih mudah terlihat,” katanya pada diri sendiri. Riana masih
takjub dengan keindahan langit berbintang. Ingin rasanya ia ambil satu bintang itu dan dibawa
pulang.

Riana was still sitting on that hill while waiting for a shooting star.

"Maybe on this hill, a shooting star was easier for me to see," she said to herself. Riana was still
amazed by the beauty of the starry sky. Until she wanted to take a star and bring it to home.

Felia:

Riana sat still on the hills while awaiting the shooting star.

“The shooting star might be easily seen on the hills,” said herself. Riana keeps on admiring the
beauty of the blinking sky. She wanted to take a star and brought it home.

Sinta : Riana was still sitting on the hill while waiting a shooting star.

“Maybe on this hill, the shooting stars are easier to see, “she said to herself. Riana is still
amazed to the dazzling of the starry sky. She wanted to take that one star and take it home.

Tiba-tiba Riana melihat ada satu bintang jatuh. Mata Riana melebar karena terkejut, tetapi ia
segera ingat bahwa ia akan mengajukan permohonan. Mata Riana terpejam, ia mengucapkan
harapan dengan sungguh-sungguh. Ternyata, kesungguhannya sampai membuat air mata
Riana ikut menetes.

Translation:

Vena: Suddenly, Riana saw a shooting star. Her eyes widened in surprise, and then she
remembered that she had to make a wish immediately. So now she started to close her eyes
and uttered her wish earnestly. Apparently, her sincerity in making a wish made her tears fall.

Felia: Unexpectedly, Riana saw a shooting star. She stared open-mouthed yet she remembered
about to make a wish without delay. Riana closed her eyes and mentioned her wish from the
bottom of her heart. It seems that her sincere wish made tears pour down her face.

Astri : Suddenly,

“Riana,” terdengar suara lembut dari sebelah kanan. Riana menoleh. Ternyata itu suara Ibu,
dan ada Bapak juga di sebelahnya. Riana langsung memeluk mereka.

“Ibuuuu.... Bapaaaak” katanya cukup kencang.

“Ssssttt... disini bicaranya pelan-pelan, ya, Rin,” bisik Ibu. Riana menoleh ke kiri dan ke kanan,
menyadari semua orang sekarang menatap kepadanya.

Translation:

Diva

“Riana,” that was a soft voice from the right side which made Riana turn around. Apparently,
there were her mother and her father. She hugged them.

“Mommmm... Daaaad” she said with her loud voice.

“Ssssttt… lower your voice, please,” said her mother gently. Riana looked around and realized
that everyone was staring at her.

Natalia :

"Riana," a soft voice said from the right side made herself turn around. It turned out to be the
voice of Mom and Dad. She hugged them.

"Mom… Dad" she said loud enough.

"Ssstttt… lower your voice," Mom whispered. Riana looked around and everyone was staring
flatly.

“Ibu Bapak, Riana rindu sekai,” kata Riana.

“Kami pun merindukan Riana,” jawab Bapak.

“Riana ingin ikut ke kota. Riana tidak keberatan membantu pekerjaan Ibu dan Bapak di kota,”
kata Riana.

Ibu menggeleng dan tersenyum halus. “Nanti, Ibu dan Bapak yang akan pulang ya Rin. Riana
belajar yang rajin di rumah dan jaga Oma, ya,” kata Ibu.

Translation:

Natalia :

"Mom Dad, Riana really misses you," said Riana.

"We miss you too, Riana," answered Dad.

"Riana wanted to go to town, Mom Dad. Riana would be okay to help your work," said Riana.

Mom shook her head and smiled sincerely. "Later, we would come home. Riana just needed to
be diligent in studying and took care of Grandma at home," said Mom.

Baskhoro:
“Father Mother, Riana miss you” Said Riana

“We are too Riana” Answer her Father

“Riana wants to go to the city, it’s okay to help you work in the city.” Said Riana

Mom shook her head and smiled faintly. “Waits,We will go home Rin, Riana you just have to
learn and take care of our Grandma.”

“Riana boleh melihat bintang dari jendela, tetapi tak perlu sampai larut malam, ya. Kan, kita bisa
bertemu di mimpi seperti sekarang,” kata Bapak.

“Mimpi?” Riana kebingungan. Jadi ini mimpi. Pertemuan Riana, Ibu, dan Bapak ternyata mimpi.

Translation:

Bulan: "You can stargazing from the window, but you don't need to stay late at night,right.We
can meet in a dream like now" her father said

"a dream?" Riana was confused. So this is a dream.The meeting between Riana, Mother and
Father turned out to be just a dream.

Astri : "Riana can see the star from the window, but don't be too late at night, okay. Is not that.
We can meet In a dream Like now" said the father

"a dream?" Riana Was confused. Just a dream. The meeting between Riana, Mother and
Father just a dream.

Diva

“You can see the stars from the window, but you don’t need to stay up too long. We can meet in
a dream like now, right” said her father.

“A dream?” Riana felt confused. So this was just a dream. It turned out that Riana, her mother,
and her father only met in a dream.

Waiting for the shooting star

Riana sat close to a big window in her house attic. It was her favourite place to see the sky full
of stars and when she missed her parents who worked in town.
Riana often heard if we made a wish during a shooting star, our wish would be come true. Had
been longing for her parents, Riana only had one wish, to be able to meet her mother and
father.
It had been days for Riana to spend her time after study waiting by the big window on the attic.
The room was so cozy, it was decorated as a bedroom. Only one thing she was waiting for sure,
the shooting star. On weekdays, she sat by the window until nine p.m., then she went to bed.
Because today was Saturday, she decided to stay longer.
“Rin, please come down. Let’s watch TV downstairs,” Oma (grandma) called by the attic door.
“Just a moment, Oma. I still want to be here,” said Riana.
An hour ... two hours ... three hours ...
There was none of the shooting star, even until Riana fell asleep and had a dream...
She sat in a hill, and when she looked up, the sky were full of stars. When she looked down,
there were city lights that looked like stars. Around the hill, there were so many people sat and
enjoyed the beauty of the stars. They were all silent, they just smiled and sometimes whispered.
“Maybe in this hill a shooting star can be easily seen,” she said to herself. Riana was amazed by
the beauty of the sky full of stars. She hoped to get one and brought it home.
Suddenly, Riana saw a shooting star. Her eyes were widened, she was surprised, but she
remembered her wish. She closed her eyes and said her wish whole heartedly. Her sincerity
made her dropped her tears.
“Riana,” a soft voice came from her right. Riana turned around. It was her mother and her father
next to her. Riana hugged them tightly.
“Ibuuuuu... Bapaaaaakkkk ...,” she said loudly.
“hussshhhh... you should speak softly here,” whispered her mother. Riana turned around and
realized that everybody stared at her now.
“Ibu, Bapak, I miss you so much,” said Riana.
“We also miss you, darling,” said Bapak.
“I want to come with you to the city. I don’t mind helping you working in the city,” said Riana.
Riana’s mother shook her head and smiled. “Ibu and Bapak will come home later. Riana should
study diligently at home and take care of Oma,” said Ibu.
“Riana may see stars from the window, but you should not do it till late at night. We can still
meet in a dream, just like right now,’ said Bapak.
“Dream?” Riana was confused. So this was just a dream. The meeting between Riana and her
parents was just a dream.
