BSED-English II

Summary
This is the story of foolishness, fight of honor, selfish love and greed. At first Trojans has
peace with other countries. A feast in Sparta was held for the celebration of peace. But
the foolishness and selfish love of Paris(prince of Troy) bring them war when he brought
with him, Helen, the Queen of Sparta, the wife of the king of Sparta. Menelaus, king of
Sparta asked King Agamemnon to help him bring back his' honor and take his' wife
back. But king Agamemnon has a different desire on giving his' allegiance to king
Menelaus. He wants to conquer all the land and submit to him. He summoned kings
with their armies to go with them and fight. Mighty warrior Achilles also came through
his' cousin, King Odysseus. On the first battle led by Achilles many men fell, both to
Greecians and Trojans but more on soldiers of troy. Until, Paris fought Menelaus, Paris
got wounded and retreat on his' brother's(Hector) feet. Menelaus asking Hector to give
him Paris but instead of giving, he stab Him to death. And second battle begin. The
battle grew and kinda lasts forever. On nightfall Trojans attact the Greecians and by
mistaken identity, Hector killed Lairisa, the cousin of Achilles, thinking it was Achilles for
Lairisa wore Achilles' battle armor. This leads to another fight. A one on one fight of
Achilles and Hector and Hector was killed in the end. He was tied on Achilles' chariot
back to the camp but in the evening the brave and grieving father, king Priam of Troy
sneak into the Greecians camp and ask Achilles to give him the body of his son to give
him proper funeral. Achilles give it to him and also a 12 days of peace.
King Agamemnon burn in anger. But within that 12 days King Odysseus got an strategy
plan from one soldier who is curving a horse present to his' son when he got home. The
Greecians made a great horse from one of the ship, load men in there. All the ships and
soldiers hide to the other side of the island. Leave the horse on the camp and leave
pretending dead mens lying on the shore with some kind of sores. In the morning the
King and his' people saw the horse and the pretending soldiers, Paris said that it must
be burned but advisers said that it must be taken inside for it is a sign of the victory
given by the gods. King Priam listened to the advisers and brougt the horse inside the
Kingdom. They feast as a celebration of what they think victory. But when everybody
was sleeping Achilles, King Odysseus and other soldiers inside the horse went out and
started the killings then give signal to the waiting armies. They burned everything, killing
even an infant, raping womens, hanging people and burning others. The royalties got
scaped through a secret tunel. Paris entrusted the sword of troy to an man named,
aeneas. But Achilles looked for Briseis, when he got her Paris take a shot that stuck to
Achilles heel that causes his' death. A great warrior that was never been defeated has a
weakness and it is his' heel.
Characters

 Achilles, son of Peleus, great warrior who’s weakness is his' heel.


 Paris, prince of troy, the lover of Helen of Sparta. Accidentally killed Achilles on a
missed arrow shot.
 Hector, successor of the kingdom of Troy. He tolerated his brothers wrongdoing
of taking the Queen of Sparta.
 King Menelaus, king of Sparta. The husband of Helen. Asked King of Mecenae
for help.
 King Agamemnon of Mycenae, the one who wants to conquer all the land of
Greece. Lead the 6 allied army to battle Troy.
 King Priam of Troy, reigned 30 years peace in the land.
 King Odysseus, he is the one who encourages Achilles to fight with them in war.
 Lairisa, cousin of King Odysseus and Achilles. Pretend to be Achilles and Killed
by Hector.
 Briseis, servant of Apollo. Niece of the King Priam. Became lover of Achilles.
 Aeneas, the sword of troy was entrusted by Prince Paris when fleeing.

Settings

The feast was in Sparta


The battles was in Troy.
--first battle was in the battle field of Troy, near the walls of the kingdom.
--second battle, in the sea shore in the Greecians camp.
--lastly was inside the kingdom.

Lessons:

 Never lose respect to anyone, even he/she is your greatest enemy.


 Greed will always kill the heart of a good man.
 Always be a man of virtue and wise not just an intelligent.
 True love thinks a greater good of and for others, it is not selfish.
