Letter of Undertaking

hereby affirm that I will fulfil the below requirements as a full-time student of Wrexham Glyndwr University.

1. Living within a commutable distance:

I will live within a commutable distance from the University so that I will be able to attend the University physically to
ensure my presence during all of my face-to-face classes and other essential face-to-face interactive sessions as
determined by the academic staff of the University. I understand that commutable distance is within 45 minutes’ total
travel time from the University.

2. Attendance:
I will attend all of my face-to-face and online learning sessions as per the timetable/s issued to me by my programme
teaching staff. When I am not able to attend classes due to unavoidable reasons, I will inform my lecturer/tutor in
writing via email. I confirm that I will do this in advance except when I have experienced acceptable extenuating
circumstances; in this case, I will submit an authorised leave request along with supporting evidence.

3. Continuous personal access to a personal computer/laptop:

I confirm that I will have access to a personal computer/laptop in order to pursue my studies. I will ensure that my
personal computer/laptop which I will use for the purposes of my studies, will possess the required hardware and
software as determined by my programme teaching staff. I also assure that I will not attend my online learning sessions
through a mobile phone.

4. Access to high bandwidth internet connection:

I confirm that I will have access to high bandwidth internet connection over a 4G/3G network. Before the
commencement of my studies, I will purchase a suitable internet package and/or organise access to an internet
cafe/cybercafe which provides good Internet connection with sufficient bandwidth.

5. Keeping my video switched-on during online classes and/or learning sessions:

I will actively engage during my online classes and/or learning sessions. I will keep my video switched-on at all times
during my online classes and/or learning sessions. I will inform my lecturer/tutor by sending a direct message,
particularly before I take a break during my online classes and/or learning sessions.

6. Maintenance of professional and courteous communication etiquette when interacting with the staff (both
academic and administrative) of the University and with my peers:
I will maintain professional and courteous communication etiquette within the University setting, both when
communicating with others in person and via online media. I will be respectful and courteous towards the University’s
staff (both academic and administrative) and my peers. I will embrace diversity and equality. I acknowledge that the
University reserves the right to take appropriate action/s as per the provisions made available within the University’s
policy framework against students who may demonstrate offensive and/or rude behaviour towards the University’s staff
and/or students. I have read and understood the ‘Student Charter 2021 – 2022’ document of the University.
7. Email communication:
I will check my University emails on a regular basis and respond in a timely manner (ideally within 48 hours of receiving
an email from the University).

8. Continuous personal access to the essential course book (only applicable to students doing pre-master’s followed
by master’s studies):
I confirm that I will personally possess a copy of the following essential course book to pursue my pre-master’s studies:
