CASE STORY TITLE: Natural Reserve Institute of Barangay Bayalse

Conflict Identification
The Natural Reserve Institute situated in Barangay Bayalse is confronting a disagreement
concerning the utilization of its territory. A few community members are promoting the use of
the land for farming, whereas others are in support of preserving it as a natural reserve. This
dispute emanates from variances in values and preferences among the community members, in
addition to the financial constraints faced by the farmers in the locality.

Plan of Action
One probable solution to tackle this issue would be for the Natural Reserve Institute to convene a
community gathering aimed at discussing the differing views and apprehensions of the
community members. The meeting could be guided by an unbiased third party who can
guarantee that all viewpoints are heard and that the conversation remains courteous and
productive. Professionals could also present the advantages of preserving natural reserves, and
the predicaments that the farmers encounter in the region. By means of this interaction, the
community members could likely recognize common values and aspirations, and create a
mutually acceptable resolution.

Reflection
To ensure the conservation of the natural reserve, and at the same time, cater to the economic
requirements of the community, it is imperative for the Natural Reserve Institute to resolve this
conflict. Engaging in a dialogue and striving towards a solution that benefits everyone can
promote harmonious relationships within the community and prevent the emergence of further
disagreements. It is worth noting that disagreements may arise from disparities in values and
preferences, however, through courteous communication and cooperation, agreeable solutions
can be reached to the advantage of all parties involved.
