COURSE / SECTION: CWTS102/A5
ACTIVITY TITLE: Case Analysis
CASE STORY TITLE: Natural Reserve Institute of Barangay Bayalse

Conflict Identification

Barangay Bayalse is going through a circumstance that significantly affects their way of life due to
climate change or global warming. It has consistently rained, slipped, and been dry. These are
only a few effects of climate change. Property damage, accidents, and fatalities were the
outcome—their main fear after the flood was running out of food. Farming and fishing, which are
Barangay Bayalse's primary sources of revenue, have been negatively impacted by climate
change. Their location was rendered unavailable for assistance due to ongoing floods and
landslides. Students must learn more about evaluating natural catastrophes and coming up with
remedies.

Plan of Action

Regarding the practical impact, I'd want to speak at a session on catastrophe risk reduction,
including how to handle emergencies. It describes how to administer first aid and what to do in
the lead-up to, during, and following a disaster. By raising awareness, this exercise will lessen the
likelihood of injuries and property damage. I'll also mandate a different seminar that will include
mental health. People become paranoid and unable to think clearly after disasters. As mental
health is essential, we should assist them in coping with this pressure.

Reflection

I discovered by doing this project that climate change significantly impacts our daily lives. To halt
this, we must find a way. Everyone should be aware that they are causing climate change and
that it is preventable by increasing tree planting and reducing plastic consumption. We can
protect the environment by taking these small steps.
