CASE STORY TITLE: Natural Reserve Institute of Barangay Bayalse

Conflict Identification

Our country is prone to natural disasters, and Barangay Bayalse happens to be significantly
affected by it without any signs of when it will happen or stop. Natural disasters affect us in every
aspect, physically, economically, and psychologically.

Plan of Action

“Prevention is better than cure.” Barangay Bayalse knows how these disasters could affect them
and how to avoid significant loss. Firstly, barangay officials should actively cooperate with their
local government unit and discuss their situation. The government should allot of budget to
create a safe community for the people of the barangay. Thorough planning should be done to
what preventive measures they can do in the barangay. Meanwhile, they should conduct
seminars on what they can do to help themselves during these times and ensure that they are
ready and prepared when a natural disaster comes.

Reflection

We can never really prevent natural disasters to happen. But what we can do is to be ready and
prepare everything, including ourselves when it happens. We should be aware of what things to
avoid during a disaster and what things we can do to help ourselves and other people.
