What is your role or contribution in our country’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management
(DRRM) Plan?
Student’s Answer:

As we grow up, we are being able to be more aware of the surroundings. I always wonder about
these natural phenomena as I grow up. I learned several things by experiencing these disasters, and on
how I can help to plan for emergency purposes.

First, we can discuss with our family about what to do like having emergency kits and foods that can
last for days. Next, we can draw and decide about where to evacuate because it is important to have a
safe place to stay. Then, we can communicate with the local government to give our ideas and opinion for
better plan for disasters. Then we can also post lectures and ideas on social media to reach out to others.

We can help in many ways for our safety during these disasters. As for us students, we can help by
taking it step by step. Having DRRM plan is crucial because it will serve as our guide for survival and safety
during the disaster. Taking it seriously will help us minimize the damage of the disasters that occur in our
place
