REALIZATION, INSIGHT AND LEARNINGS
Choose one (1) SDG discussed in Week-1. Identify a particular problem on the SDG chosen. Share
your thoughts on how are you going to contribute to the solution of the problem you identified.
Student’s Answer:

The first three SDGs discussed in this week was all interconnected. Achieving the other goal will
significantly affect the other two. However, we are going to focus to the first SDG which is “No Poverty”.
The SDG is very self-explanatory. Basically, the intention of the SDG is to eradicate poverty to all the
regions on the world by 2030, or perhaps at least reduce the percentage of poverty by significant amount.

Unfortunately, this SDG may be the most difficult task to be achieved. We can also say that once we
eradicate poverty, perhaps all the other issues are non-existent, or we already achieved all the other SDGs
before accomplishing this SDG. Nevertheless, if we are going to be optimistic at least, we need to visualize
the proper action in responding to the global issue of poverty and economy.

In my opinion, there is no direct nor easy way to reduce poverty in the world. It is not simply just giving
financial aids to the people. We need a stable economy that can accommodate all the population in the
region providing enough financial power to afford basic human needs and demands. To actually do this
concept, there is still a long way for development in order to apply this in our society.
