ACTIVITY TITLE: Case Analysis
CASE STORY TITLE: The Children of Sitio Mabolon

Conflict Identification

In this scenario, I observe numerous conflicts, with one of the main issues being

the widespread malnutrition affecting this tribe. Around 22 youngsters are

afflicted with marasmus and kwashiorkor. This problem continues to grow

because of their restricted interaction with the government and their limited

access to medical care. Consequently, many children in this tribe are left

untreated. Poverty is the root cause; they can only afford what they gather,

lacking essential vitamins and minerals crucial for their health.

Plan of Action

There are numerous ways to assist them, but I'm unsure where to begin. My initial step

would be to organize free check-ups for the tribe, perhaps on a monthly or bi-monthly

basis, along with providing free vitamins if possible. I am aware that some organizations

and advocacies offer these services. Furthermore, I would spread awareness about this

issue to attract attention from others who may be able to help with donations such as

food, cash, water, and other beneficial items for the tribe.

Reflection
Issues like this often remain unnoticed, but in this instance, poverty stands out as one of

the most severe problems in our country. It directly affects the lives, health, and

aspirations of those living in poverty. Frankly, even for those not directly facing poverty,

life can be quite challenging nowadays. Poverty exacerbates these challenges, making life

more difficult each day. Ultimately, if we can assist individuals, we should do so in the

most significant way possible.
