CASE STORY TITLE: The Children of Sitio Mabolon

Conflict Identification
Restricted access to the government welfare services led to most children and adults'
malnutrition. Welfare services of the government are beneficial for people who are below the
poverty line. Without it, people can experience malnutrition and notorious deficiency that will
cause many deaths and even worst crimes. Malnutrition of children in Sitio Mabolon is a must
action because it might root to uprising or violation that the government does not want. People
tend to do whatever it takes for them to be able to have food on the table. People might become
one of the NPA's that will be their shoulder because of the lockage of the government.
Plan of Action
The plan of action for this issue is a volunteer program for building road and welfare
centers to have them well treated by our government and researchers to help them have their
farms within their surroundings. With this, we need volunteers' researchers, and engineers to
solve the nutrition problem correctly. With the help of the volunteers, we can make things equal
for our community, and all can experience the government services.
Reflection
Malnutrition is the Philippines' dilemma because we are one other country with many people
below the poverty line. With the action that will be done, we can help our fellow Filipinos to have
a good life that they can eat three times a day. Moreover, with the action that will be done,
further problems like NPA recruitment or crime rate will be avoided. About the NPA with this
action, NPA might lose staffing because of the government offering them welfare and services
and might also be the cause of the NPA war occurring until now.
