Alternator 12V 110A


Toyota LandCruiser 79, 80 & 100 Series are fitted
with one of two different regulators in the alternator:
Power to "L" terminal, utilising an active warning
light circuit to drive a glow plug relay or control relay.
No power to "L" terminal, with an inactive
warning light circuit not to drive a glow plug
relay or control relay.

Upon visual inspection, both OE alternators' (active


and inactive warning light circuit) appear identical. As
a result, many repairers order the incorrect model and
inadvertently cause a fault in the system. To overcome
this challenge, OEX developed the DXA433U alternator.
Despite resolving the issue, according to customer
feedback, in some instances, customers may have to
uninstall the alternator to remove screw to change the
function from "ACTIVE" warning light to "INACTIVE".

To overcome that issue, OEX developed the new and


improved DXA433M alternator. With the addition of a
simple adaptor harness alternator warning light circuit
function from "ACTIVE" warning light to "INACTIVE"
covering both functions. DXA433M

CIRCUIT SWITCHING FUNCTION
The DXA433M is fitted with the active warning light regulator as the default. To change it to an inactive warning light function:
Use the adaptor plug supplied, in between the regulator plug and the wiring harness plug, this will change the warning light function to inactive.
Note: Engine must be turned off during this process.
