1.What is an anecdote?
a short amusing or interesting story about a real incident or person.
2.What are the different purposes of telling an anecdote?
their primary purpose is to stir up laughter, to disclose a truth in a general way, or to describe a feature
of a character in such a way that it becomes humorous, and at the same time gives us a better
understanding of the character. Anecdotes may also serve as cautions.
3.What other literary genres do you like to read? Why does it interest you 
most?
the genres I usually read are fantasies and romances. Because the flow of the story is just milder and
exciting per chapter. I also understand better when it comes to such things because it is easy

What I Have Learned
MP4 - is a digital multimedia container format most commonly used to store video and audio, but it can
also be used to store other data such as subtitles and still images. Like most modern container formats,
it allows streaming over the Internet. 
AVI - is a proprietary multimedia container format and Windows standard introduced by Microsoft in
November 1992 as part of its Video for Windows software. AVI files can contain both audio and video
data in a file container that allows synchronous audio-with-video playback. 
WMA - is a series of audio codecs and their corresponding audio coding formats developed by Microsoft
with the composer Stan LePard. It is a proprietary technology that forms part of the Windows Media
framework. WMA consists of four distinct codecs.

What I Can Do
Create an mp4-video format adaptation of “The Story of the Pencil”. Integrate 
text, audio clips and image file to your video presentation.

a story with a fully developed theme but significantly shorter and less elaborate than a novel.
2.Name the basic elements of the story.

because it's good and calming to read a short stories have compelling story arcs, there is a sense of
beginning, middle, and end, of start, conflict, and resolution.

Rachel Young(née Chu): Married to Nick Young. A Chinese-American woman who is an economics
professor at New York University. Nicholas "Nick" Young: Rachel's husband who is a history professor,
also at New York University.

Direction: Fill out the elements of a story entitled, “Rich People Problem”. Generate

Activity 2
Rich People Problem
Characters - Rachel Young(née Chu): Married to Nick Young. A Chinese-American woman who is an
economics professor at New York University. Nicholas "Nick" Young: Rachel's husband who is a history
professor, also at New York University.

Setting - In 2015, two years after the events that take place in China Rich Girlfriend, Nick and Rachel
Young (née Chu), an economics professor at New York University (NYU), are happily married and living
their life in Manhattan.

Plot - With each family member vying to inherit Tyersall Park—a trophy estate on 64 prime acres in the
heart of Singapore—Nicholas's childhood home turns into a hotbed of speculation and sabotage.
Conflict - occurs in rich people, the problem is caused by lack of communication in the family, which can
lead to conflict and a high selfish attitude can also trigger family conflict in rich people. Problems that
cause conflict in the family are differences in language, tradition and haritage.

Climax - When they dont have enough money they stressed. Theme:In the novel Rich People Problems
by Kevin Kwan, the members of Shang Su Yi's family had various reasons to visit the family matriarch in
her last days — greed, curiosity, social pressure, and in some cases love and devotion.

Theme - Greed and Materialism


            For those who want to sell the property, particularly Victoria Young, it is their access to financial
freedom and independence. The house is also the focal point of a rivalry between Nicholas Young and
his cousin, Eddie Cheng.

What I Have Learned 


Reflect on the sequence of events in the story. Have a creative digital picture 
presentation; import images and music, and add voice over. Save your file.
