Linking Words
According to Adamowski (1997), linking Words are words or phrases that show the relationship
between paragraphs or sections of a text or speech.
These words and phrases indicate the direction, order and flow of ideas. Significantly, they strengthen
the quality and structure of your work.
Linking words provide greater cohesion by making it more explicit or signaling how ideas relate to one
another.
