ACTIVITY 1

1.) What methods and instruments will you use to gather data to answer your research problem?

Describe them. Remember to cite your references.

- The data-gathering method and instrument will be done via personal interviews and a provided

questionnaire for each.

2.) Why did you choose these methods and instruments?

- They help you explain, better understand, and explore research subjects' opinions, behavior,

experiences, phenomenon, etc. Interview questions are usually open-ended questions so that in-depth

information will be collected.

3.) What are the parts of your methods and instruments? Include the major variables and sub-

variables.

- The method will undergo 3 stages with each having numerous phases before completion, and are listed

below:

Before Interview:

Identify what to achieve and the information needed to gather. Make sure an interview is the

appropriate way to meet the objectives. Review the required information, budget, time, and potential

respondents
During Interview:

Introduce yourself and initiate a friendly but professional conversation, and while doing so, explain the

purpose of the project, the importance of their participation, and the expected duration of the

interview. Explain the format of the interview. Tell the respondents how the interview will be recorded

and how the collected information will be used and if possible, obtain their written consent to

participate.

After Interview:

Make sure the interview was properly recorded and make additional notes, if needed. Then organize the

interview responses and get ready for data analysis.

The major and sub variables on conducting will be adults ages 21-35.

4.) What rating scale will you use? Discuss it in detail.

- The rating scale to be used are stars. Each respondent will be given the choice to rate 1-5 stars which

depends on how satisfied they are on the interview conducted. Each scale of star means one thing,

starting off from very dissatisfied, dissatisfied, neutral, satisfied, and very satisfied.

5.) Formulate a question that centers on one of your study variables or sub-variables. Cite at least five

indicators for your chosen variable or sub-variable.

- The question in regards to the variables would be "How well do you perform your current occupation".

In the other hand, the indicators in choosing the appropriate variables to be included are through age

(21-35), current health status, educational level, current job reputation and has common business

knowledge
