1. Teacher will hand out papers with the article printed.
2. Today we’re going to practice summarizing again and we’re going to
read this article about popcorn. I learned a lot from this article that I

7. Students will have about 5 minutes to write their summary on the Tweet

8. After about 5 minutes, students will find a partner and will have about 5
more minutes to work together on their worksheets.
1. Teacher will ask if any students want to share their summaries with the
class.
Closure Activity 2. Students who volunteer will read their summaries aloud to the class.
3. Teacher will comment on what students did well in their summaries.
4. Students will turn their papers into the completed work bin.
