The course  of art appreciation is frequently disregarded. Without understanding its

importance to us as individuals and our culture, many people may argue that it is not as
signi cant as it is with other courses. Since it can teach us so many things that we can't
possibly imagine, people ought to value it, admire it, and be inspired by it. Because it reveals to
us who we are and what we can become in the eyes of the viewer, art should be viewed for
what it is. We can come to understand concepts and universal truths about life through art.

In the previous lessons, the Art appreciation course taught me to value learning and
appreciate art. Starting from the history of art, how it bloomed, and the di erent forms of art.
Through the previous lesson, I learned that art is everywhere and that you need skill, speed,
and patience in making art. I also learned about crafts which is an art made by our own hands.
I have also learned about the Western Art History where it involved the stone tools for art
making and the famous artists in Western Europe which contributed to the development of art
up to this day.

At their very core, art and culture are some of the most important, dynamic,
participatory, and social e ects on human interaction and behavior. Together, they can inspire
empathy, discussions, contemplation, and the launching of new connections and concepts.
Because it can reduce barriers between various racial, religious, dialectical, and ethnic groups,
art is crucial to culture. It can convey universally understood and felt ideals, virtues, and
morals. Our culture is strengthened, and our identity is made universally and eternally known
using the in uence of the arts.

As mentioned, art is everywhere. As a student, it encourages me to express myself

more and it enhances my creativity, con dence, and my identity. As through appreciating art, I
can be myself and share my perspective about certain things around me. Art can be in uential
in a way as it naturally develops critical and innovative thinking skills. As student, I have a lot to
learn and through appreciating arts, it can be my way to realize things, re ect, and evaluate my
experiences which may bring out the best in me.
