1. Refer AIP Environmental Plan, Waste Management Plan, Spill Response Plan, Inventory
of chemicals etc as per the availability and company policy.
2. Refer Documents required and maintained for ISO 14001:2015 certification such as, Scope
of EMS, Environmental Policy, Risk Register, Emergency Response Plan etc. as per the
availability and company policy.
3. Conduct site inspections to identify environmental hazards and any current working
practices in your organisation which could cause harm to the environment.
4. Conduct legal compliance inspection based on checklist provided.
5. Refer the list of Chemicals and make sure MSDS is available for all and workers are aware
and safely handling the chemicals.
6. Communicate your findings or observations to relevant authorities through reporting
methods like Email, Written methods or Organisational portals.

Evidences for Unit- 5

Evidence 1: Identify unsafe act, unsafe condition or good practices on safe storage,
handling and disposal of chemicals or other hazardous substance to
environment.

Evidence 2: Identify unsafe act, unsafe condition or good practices related to the
equipment used in any part of your organisation which could cause harm
to the environment.

Evidence 3: Conduct a legal compliance inspection based on checklist provided.

Note:
 Personal statements and supporting Documents mandatory for each of the Activities
Evidences.

 Personal Statement for Evidence 1 and 2 must include,

information regarding how you identified the impacts, for example by examination,
use, reference to suppliers’ instructions, own organization’s procedures, specialist
knowledge, own investigations

and how this environment hazard can be controlled could be risk assessments,
compliance with regulations, best working practice, substitution, changes in working
practice.

Also, reports and suggestion could be verbal or written and to be mentioned in


personal statement.
