Because of this, it is important to remember that you are RESPONSIBLE for what
your vehicle does barring three factors:-
• FORCES OF NATURE
• AN ACCIDENT (NOT CAUSED BY YOU)
• MECHANICAL FAILURE.
• DISCIPLINE: The disciplined driver follows the road codes and remembers
there are other drivers present
• PATIENCE: This allows to you wait on the right moment to perform any task
that will not cause accidents to occur such as overtaking, lane crossing,
entry into and exit from gaps. And yes, it helps you keep your cool on the
road!!
• DISCRETION: The ability to take information and make a wise decision.
Different situations calls for different actions; always make sure that the
decision is positive and beneficial to yourself and other road users while
still obeying the rules of the road.
• FOCUS: Enables you to pay attention while driving. The three main things to
pay attention to are: - YOUR VEHICLE (and everything it does), OTHER
VEHICLES (have to make sure their driving style doesn’t adversely affect
you) and YOUR ENVIRONMENT (weather, people, animals, anything that
can affect your travel.)

WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT, IF THE ONCOMING LIGHTS DAZZLE YOUR VISION ,
IT IS ADVISABLE TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP THE VEHICLE UNTIL YOUR VISION
IS CLEARED . KEEP IN MIND ALSO THE LIGHTS ON YOUR VEHICLE DO NOT
DAZZLE ONCOMING DRIVERS TOWARDS YOU.
NEVER DRIVE DRUNK !!! NEVER!!! IF YOU FEEL YOU ARE UNABLE TO DRIVE,
HAVE SOMEONE ELSE DRIVE OR RETURN FOR THE VEHICLE. ALCOHOL
SEVERELY AFFECTS YOUR DRIVING ABILITY NEGATIVELY.
