Behavioral Health Care Manager October 2022 – Present

• Support the mental and physical health care of patients on an assigned patient caseload by
coordinating care with the patient’s medical provider and, when appropriate, mental health providers.
• Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorder and facilitates
patient engagement/follow-up care.
• Provide patient education about common mental health and substance abuse disorders and the
available treatment options.
• Systematically tracks treatment response and monitor patient (in person or via phone) for challenging
clinical symptoms and treatment side effects/complications.
• Support psychotropic medication management as prescribed by medical providers, focusing on
treatment adherence monitoring, side effects, and effectiveness of treatment.
• Provide brief behavioral interventions using evidence-based techniques such as behavioral activation,

recommendations to the patient’s medical provider, focusing on patients that are not improving.

patient progress and treatment recommendations in EHR to share with medical provider.

• Interviewed, hired, trained, and oversaw 15 student building supervisors and about 50 rec staff.
• Maintained staff management, supervision and development to uphold employee standards - this includes
conducting monthly SBS meetings, and staff development.
• Educated student employees on topics including: diversity and inclusion, leadership development, customer
service, various risk management topics as well as CPR/AED/First Aid training.
• Assisted in NCAA Division II football (attendance averaged over 12,000), swimming & diving, and track &
field game day operations

training protocol.
• Utilized clear communication, planning and customer service for event coordination, some including Relay

information, equipment, and risk management.
• Was an active member of the Recreation Risk Management Committee through this position.
