Respect individuality.

Give higher regard by appreciating the uniqueness of

every member of the family, knowing that everyone has its ats identity,
strengths, and weaknesses. Respect can be earned without comparing one
with another. An example is by asking permission whenever one needs other
member’s belongings.

An example for this is greeting or speaking to others in your family such

as using po and opo in a kind and respectful way, treating others as you
would like them to treat you, etc.

Model the behavior. Everyone in the family could be a model for each other.
Modeling behavior is setting yourself as an example that is worth following to
other members of the family.

An example for this in the family is always helping those who are in need.
By doing this you might become a model of being kind to the family and some
of the members might practice of being kind to others.

Explain expectations and consequences. Let every family member

understand what is expected of them as to their responsibility. Along with this,
consequences must be clarified, so they will also know their accountability.

An example for this is when wrong doings are being done in the family
they must know what are the consequences of their action be. Aslo letting
each of everyone know what their responsibility bebased on what they can do
for the family.

Reward good behavior. A reward is an excellent motivation for any family e

member, so they can keep on doing what is good and right. Always look at the
positive behavior rather than focusing and nagging on other family member’s
failures.

An example for this is when a child has great grades parents should
provide a good reward for the achievement of the child.

Give love and forgiveness. We all need love, but we also need to give ov
love. Love is the core of relationships to make it stronger and better. When
there is love, there is also forgiveness and for they go hand in hand together.

An example for this is when simply always saying ”I love you” to each
other. Also in forgiveness is when a child breaks a plate and says sorry
parents should learn to forgive their children.

Encourage and express gratitude. These things would lighten the ee

burden the person is having by supporting one another through giving no
positive words and expressing gratitude. Back up one another with
constructive words and affirmation.
An example for this is when being thankful for our parents for cooking for
us. For encouragment, if a child enters a school sport event encpourage them
by saying “ Im sure you’ll win all your games don’t worry, you got this ”

Nurture trust. A trusting relationship promotes dignity and integrity in the

relationship. When trust is present, it challenges the person to do better
because others are depending on him/her.

An example for this is when being available when your child needs
support, care, or help. This might be picking up your toddler when they fall or
picking up your teenage child when they call you after a party. This helps your
child learn to trust that you’ll be there when they need you.

Take time together. Spending time together helps to know each other better
and promote authentic and stronger relationships. Pray, play, eat, solve
problems together, etc.

An example for this is having a family outing or bonding time to strengthen

the bond as family.
