1. Read the definitions. Are they the same as the ideas you had in the Warm up? Is there anything
different? If so, what?
2. Read the situations and decide if you need to use Business English, General English, or both.
3. Underline the nouns in the situations that you could use in Business English.
3 Business terms
Your teacher will give you a second handout. Match the vocabulary to the definitions. When you
have finished, write the vocabulary in the correct sentences below. There are two words you will not
need.
Part A

Good afternoon everyone! Thanks for coming to the meeting. We have a few important bits
of news we’d like to share with you all about our future as a 1. corporation / corporate. Most
