SUBJECT HOMEWORK
1. Imagine that you are going to hold a lavish party at your home on the occasion of
your grand success in board examination. Draft an informal invitation for the same,
inviting your close friends and relatives. Use A4 size coloured sheets to creatively
design the invitation.
OR
You are the president of the Cultural Club of your school. You are planning to host
an inter school classical dance competition on July 1, 2023. Draft a formal
invitation to invite Ms. Sudha Chandran to judge the competition. Use an A4 size
sheet for drafting it and paste it in your writing skills notebook.
ENGLISH 2. Design a postal stamp or currency to be used in the year 2050. You may refer to the
theme of the lesson ‘The Third Level’ from your literature book Vistats. This is
with reference to the AIL (Art Integrated Learning).
3. The SEWA forms have been shared with you through WhatsApp class group. Fill
in all the details of your acts of benevolence and support with appropriate pictures.
4. The ASL Project has been discussed with you in the class. Utilise the vacation to
complete your project file as per the instructions given and requirement of the
project.
5. Write an essay on an A4 size sheet on the topic '20 Youth Priorities for G20'. Word
limit 200 words.
1. Make a project on the assigned topic according to the guidelines discussed in class.
2. Write following experiments in the practical file:
1. Prepare a temporary mount to observe pollen germination.
2. Study the plant population density by quadrat method.
BIOLOGY 3. Study the plant population frequency by quadrat method.
4. Prepare a temporary mount of onion root tip to study mitosis.
5. Isolate DNA from available plant material such as spinach, green pea seeds,
papaya, etc.
6. Flowers adapted to pollination by different agencies (wind, insects, birds).
7. Pollen germination on stigma through a permanent slide or scanning electron
micrograph.
8. Identification of stages of gamete development, i.e., T.S. of testis and T.S. of
ovary through permanent slides (from grasshopper/mice).
9. Meiosis in onion bud cell or grasshopper testis through permanent slides.
10. T.S. of blastula through permanent slides (Mammalian).
