HOW TO CALIBRATE VEGA RADAR LEVEL TRANSMITTER
Please find Radar Level Verification Report complete with Tank Name and Reference Height. And
follow the instructions below.

1. Key in the current VEGA LT level reading on “Radar Display” column in Excel.

2. Performed manual dipping, recommended do minimum three (3) times dipping for each LT
calibration.

3. Key in the manual dipping data on a “Manual Dip” column in Excel (tape mark & oil mark)

4. Result of “Ullage” is the difference between “tape mark” and “oil mark”. And “Average
Ullage” is the average Ullage value between 3 times dipping result.

5. “Actual Product Level” are calculated by the difference between “Tank Reference Height”
and “Avg Ullage” to get the innage value.

6. The variance between manual dipping (Actual Product Level) and Radar level will be
calculated as “Variance”.

7. The variance will determine the reading of Minimum Adjustment, Vessel Height and AIFB1
Scaling parameters in Vega Radar.

Example:

Actual product Level: 14.221m

Radar Display: 14.225m
Variance (Actual product Level – Radar Display): -0.004m

Vega Radar: minimum Adjustment: 17.652m – 0.004m

New minimum Adjustment: 17.648m

8. Key in this “New Minimum Adjustment” (new tank Ref Height) value in VEGA LT

 “Vessel Height/Measuring Range”

 “Min. Adjusment”

 “AIFB1-Scaling”
Note: please make sure the unit is in meter

9. Make sure the current readings of VEGA Radar after calibrated is the same with Actual
Product Level (manual dip) in verification report.
