EMERSON Coriolis Flow Meter

Zero Calibration Procedure at Site

Applicable for Emerson Coriolis flow meters, 2700


and 1700 Series Transmitters

[PROCEDURE]
1. Allow the flowmeter to warm up for at least 20 minutes after applying power.
2. Run the process fluid through the sensor until the sensor temperature reaches the normal
process operating temperature.
3. Stop flow through the sensor by shutting the downstream valve, and then the upstream valve if
available.
4. Verify that the sensor is blocked in, that flow has stopped, and that the sensor is completely
full of process fluid.
5. Precautions should be taken to avoid sudden stops in flow that could cause severe pipeline
disruption.
6. In the Transmitter display, press Scroll and Select together for 30 secs ,then the Transmitter will
go to configuration mode.
7. In the Configuration press Scroll and go the OFFLINE MAINT
8. Then again Scroll, and go to ZERO
9. Select ZERO -> CAL ZERO -> CAL YES?
10. Press Yes and the Zero calibration is initiated and completes in a duration of 30 secs.
