Ant-eaters are perhaps the most curious-looking animals. Their long head and snout
look like tubes, and they have no teeth.
Their front legs are very strong and armed with heavily curved claws with which they
break open the nets of ants and termites and then, when the insects rush out, use their long,
sticky tongues to lick them up at great speed.
True ant-eaters are found in the swamps and forests of Central and South America.
Scaly ant-eaters, or pangolins, are found in Africa and tropical Asia.
Various other insect-eating animals are sometimes called ant-eaters, although they
really belong to other groups of animals.
One of them is the ant-bear, which lives on the plains of South and Central Africa.
This has long, erect ears but short blunt claws, an almost hairless tail, yellow-brown in
colour. Unlike the true ant-eaters, it has small teeth.

A RECKLESS DONKEY
A donkey and a rabbit were good friends. One evening, they were looking for some
food. After walking for some time, they finally found a watermelon field .After making
sure that there was nobody around, they went into the field. The donkey directly ate a
juicy watermelon. He finished it quickly. Then, he recklessly went to another watermelon,
and ate it. He ate a lot of watermelons until he felt full.
“Oh, I feel like I want to sing a song, ”said the donkey merrily.
“No! You are going to wake the farmer ,”warned the rabbit.
But, the reckless donkey did not listen to the rabbit. It started to sing a song loudly.
Knowing that he could not stop the donkey, the rabbit left him alone in the watermelon
field.
The donkey kept singing and singing until the farmer came up to him,
and ...,”Wham!” the farmer caught the donkey and tied him to the fence. The rabbit was
hiding behind a big tree, he saw what was happening. When the farmer left the field, the
rabbit released the donkey. The donkey realized his mistake and thanked the rabbit.

Giraffe
The giraffe is the highest animal in the world. Its height can reach 4.8 to 5.5 meters
and its weight is about 1360 pounds. Giraffe has unique characteristic. They have a very long
necks and two small horns on its head. Giraffes have big brown eyes and are protected by
thick and long eyebrows. Her body is covered with a unique pattern that is attached by brown
spots all over their body.
Just like camels, giraffes can survive without drinking for a long time because giraffes
can rely on the water contained in the leaves they eat. Giraffes are very selective in choosing
food. They always eat young leaves that grow in the tree tops. Their tongue shaped like a
knife help them to cut branches that are very hard.
Female giraffes can start pregnant at the age of five years, with a gestation period of
15 months. Commonly female giraffes bear one baby, but sometimes two babies at once.
Giraffes bear their baby in a standing position. When the baby is about to be born, they drop
it to the ground from a 1.5-meter height. A baby giraffe can stand for about 20 minutes after
being born, and begin breastfeeding within an hour of birth.

Komodo dragon is a member of the monitor family, Varanidae. It is the world’s largest
living lizards. It grows to be 10 feet (3 meters) long and weighs up to 126 kg and belong to
the most ancient group of lizards still alive.
It is found mainly in the island of Komodo and on other small islands, Rinca, Padar, and
Flores. The natives call the dragon, ora, or buaya darat (land crocodile).
The Komodo dragon has a long heavy tail, short, strong legs, and rough skin. It is
covered with small dull, colored scales. It can sprint at up 18 km per hours, but only for short
distances. When it opens its wide red mouth, it shows row of teeth like the edge of a saw.
Komodo dragons are good swimmers and may swim the long distance from one island to
another. Like other lizards, they swim with their undulating tails, and their legs held against
their body.
The Komodo dragon is totally carnivorous. It hunts other animals during the day. It hunts
deer, wild pigs, water buffaloes, and even horses. While smaller komodos have to be content
with eggs, other lizards, snakes and rodents. Komodo dragons are cannibals. The adult will
prey on the young one as well as the old and sick dragons.

The Ant and Dove
An ant has been walking for some times. Its reach into the end of the forest. Now, the ant
feels thirsty and want to find some water. It walks a little bit more until came to a very large
water spring. It climbs up to fields of grass and makes it way up. Suddenly, it trips and fell
into the water.
Luckily, a dove was flying over the water spring. The dove has seen the ant before.
Seeing, the struggle to get out of the water. The dove thinks that the ant must need help. It is
definitely in great danger and can sink and drown anytime.
The dove fly close to the water surface. The dove grabs a leaf from a nearby tree. The
dove dropped it immediately toward the struggling ant. Then the ant saw the leaf swim
toward it. It manages to climb up there. The ant row the leaf to dry ground and finally safe
and sound.
While the dove is flying around a hunter spot the dove. The hunter is ready to take a shot
to the unaware of danger nearby dove. The ant happens to be near the hunter. As the hunter
focus on the dove, the ant climbs on the hunter’s feet and bit him on the heel. Feeling a sting
in his feet. the hunter dropped his gun. It gives the dove time to fly away quickly far from the
area.

How to Make Fried Bananas


Ingredients :
 Bananas

 Sugar

 Baking powder
 Vegetable oil

Steps :
1. Begin the recipe by peeling the bananas and then chopping them into approximate ½-
inch discs.
2. Next, grab a mixing bowl and into it place some purpose flour, some sugar, a little of
baking powder, and a little of salt, and mix all of these ingredients together.
3. Pour the vegetable oil into a medium-sized pot and put it onto a stove. Turn the heat
up to a medium-high setting and let the oil warm up.
4. Coat the banana discs in batter.
5. Fry each piece for five minutes.
6. After pieces have fried transfer them into a plate and sprinkle the bananas with the
powdered sugar.

1. Close the outer lid tightly until it ”clicks”
