Terms of Reference for Finance Intern

Role Purpose

The finance Archivist’s role is to organize, maintain and keep properly and safely the
financial documentation for both hard and soft copies in the Finance Archives and
Documentation as well as to maintain a complete logbook for all the documents that
are already archived for easy retrieval.

Supervision and Management


The Finance Officer will oversee the Finance Intern, including providing induction. The
Finance Assistant will be also available to assist with setting up the Intern.

Oxfam GB- Iraq will provide a computer, a desk, internet connection, and stationery in
the office. Oxfam will pay 41,0000 IQD for full-day Attendance to cover the cost of food
and transportation, and 1,000 IQD will be deducted for Health Insurance. Transport to
attend meetings will be provided by Oxfam drivers when available.

No other remuneration will be offered.

Location Erbil

Duration 6 Months
Key Deliverables The intern will provide operational assistance to the Finance
team in the following areas:

• Scanning Finance Monthly transactions.


• Arranging Finance Archive
Terms of Reference Form 2022
• Scanning the doc for Donor Reports.
• Support by Preparing the audit samples
• Support during month end by data entry
• Support the finance members whenever needed
• Responsible for the data entry in Oxfam Financial
System on Daily bases.
• Responsible to write all the financial Vouchers with
the correct coding.
• Contact the suppliers for payments and arrange the
needed appointments with them

• Fresh graduate of finance, economics, or related


fields.
• Interest in the humanitarian sector
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• The ability to work as part of a team and a minimum
of 40 hours per week.
Qualifications
• Good administrative and organization skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively
• The ability to speak English, Kurdish, and Arabic is a
plus.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
