explain why they might be effective.

 Egocentric Behavior
o This type of a person’s behavior that is highly thinking only for himself/herself. He wants
his idea to be the main topic or he wants others to thing the way he thinks on a certain
issue or thing. He doesn’t want to be criticized or he cannot tolerate anything that is
contradicting to his philosophy. This results for inability to evaluate other’s feelings and
perspective. To overcome this behavior, a person might need to have or join in a open
and healthy discussion or open forum, debates or other activities that may help him to
be open-minded and accept other opinions without compromising his and others
feelings and perspective.
 Group Thinking Behavior
o This behavior hinders someone’s decision process as it allows a person to confuse and
influence himself with his group’s thinking. He may not have an independence to make
and stand for your decision. To overcome this behavior, he may do organization with his
group like diversity team and assign each one of the members with a certain parts about
their project. You can encourage and accept other point of views but make sure you
have to come up with a decision for yourself. Encouraging others to speak up about
their ideas will also help you to evaluate your decision. However, you must consider if
this opinion or idea is relevant to your goals as an individual and make a feedback for
them.
 Drone Mentality
o This is a barrier in critical thinking wherein a person is only seeing the situation in a
bird’s eye view rather than seeing what happens on the ground. They do not pay
attention with the others circumstances or what’s going on with his environment that
makes him not to think critically. To overcome this barrier, a person must expose more
himself in a healthy environment that has a fruitful and productive personalities and
diverse thinking that will help him to go out in his comfort zone confidently. Assuring
someone positively and not having things awkward for them can make to cope up with
this mentality and go after his personal growth.

They are afraid to break the cycle or system that was built by society and makes them
be blind to others perspective and even his idea and eventually they are not aware that
they are making assumptions and stereotyping. This makes someone not to think
outside the box or not to think outside the spectrum. To overcome this barrier, a person
must be accept others beliefs and accept that we are different to each other. The way
we think is not applicable and right for all and being socially and culturally aware can
help us to overcome this.
 Biased Experience

about the situation, weighing both sides of the party. Practicing honesty and integrity
can also help to consider others perspective and eventually build your own critical
understanding.

take time in making a decision or create an idea and time pressure enables us to cram
our works and be only satisfy on its outcomes even though we can be able to do better
result. Prioritizing is a big factor to be a solution in this barrier as this helps us to
organize our time without compromising our other works and priorities. Knowing what
to do first and not piling up our works will help us to save time and resources that we
can also allocate it in other things.

thinker have these kind of traits or behaviors, they cannot be consider as critical
because they can come up with works or decisions that came from their reckless and
thoughtless thinking. Arrogance and intolerance enables them to rejects other ideas and
be boastful with themselves. To overcome these barriers of critical thinking, we can
question ourselves or have a self-assessment regarding the topic. Also, being
responsible with your actions and decisions and accepting its consequences as well as
