WRITING ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

OF DOING PART-TIME JOBS
In the era of globalization, doing part-time jobs tends to gain more popularity in our
modern society, the number of students who work part-time while studying at college is
increasing remarkably. Nevertheless, I hold a firm belivef that this tendency would bring
not only merits but also demerits.
On the one hand, working part-time jobs could bring a variety of great benefits. First of
all, it is commonly believed that students can get more practical experiences for their
future. In fact, attending the head school merely gives fundamental knowledge to
students. Students have a fantastic opportunity to learn and expand their experience by
working a part-time job. In other words, the more experiences students gain during
school time, the more benefits they will get in their future .  Besides, part-time jobs can
help students become more confident and improve their communication abilities. To
examplify, students can interact and converse with more people when they work as
salespeople. Another important point is that, thanks to part-time jobs, students can earn
an array of money to spend on daily expense.
On the other hand, doing part-time jobs may offers several disadvantages. Firstly, when
students works to much, thay can get tired and diffcult concentrate on their study. It means that
their academic performance will be affected. Additionaly, if students are not vigilant sufficent
when choosing a job, they may be took advantage of labor, even doing illegal things.
All in all, there are both merits and demerits to doing part-time jobs. Although woking
part-time jobs may have some disadvantages, I am totally convinced that we should know
how to maximize the advantages as well as minimize the disadvantages. (276 words)
