1. Understand the literary terms and conventions related to drama and theatre.
2. Analyze several dramas using the literary intrinsic elements.
3. Respond to a drama performance.
4. Perform a classroom drama.

VI. COURSE DESCRIPTION:


This course is designed to introduce the student to a wide range of drama and theatre and to demonstrate the relationship between this art and the society,
which produces it. Through a selection of texts from antiquity to the present day, students will gain an understanding of a script as performance. With a
focus on textual analysis, the course aims to familiarize students with relevant terminology and enable them to discuss the work in relation to the artistic
tradition and the social/cultural context that produced it, while also examining important issues such as identity, gender, race, politics and various social
issues reflected in these works. As a common basis for the elaboration of language syllabuses, this course refers to CEFR B1 level which enable students
to understand relate events in a story, film or play to similar events they have experienced or heard about. Besides, in maximizing the learning objectives,
the class will be formatted in blended learning (face to face and online learning activities) which incorporates the utilization of ICT tools both software and
hardware.

Evaluation Criteria: 1. Assessment uses Norma Reference Assessment, namely an assessment based on competency
achievement by referring to the average achievement of the study group/class;
2. Attendance of at least 80% (to be able to take the exam)

- 0-19: not actively involved and does not show effort in mastering the material/minimum competence.
