Four Programs Upgrade

Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology’s (NONESCOST) four graduate programs
advanced to Level II and III after undergoing the accreditation process on November 15-19 and
December 13-15, 2021.

Dr. Renante A. Egcas, NONESCOST President received a letter from Milabel E. Ho, Ed.D., R.N. relaying the
Board Action on the following programs assessed by the Accrediting Agency Chartered Colleges and
Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Inc.: (1) Master of Arts in Education major in Educational
Management, Level III Re-accredited with validity from December 16, 2021 to December 15, 2025; (2)
Doctor of Philosophy major in Educational Management, Level II Re-accredited with validity from
January 2022 to December 2022; (3) Master of Science in Agriculture and (4) Master of Science in
Fisheries upgraded to Level II.

For the programs with accreditation status of Level II Re-accredited, the program level is II. The
assessment was ongoing in Phase 2 evaluation in the third survey visit. They must comply with the
mandatory recommendations.

Attached in the letter was a copy of the technical review and board action of each program with the
following information: summary ratings; board action; suggested steps or measures to be taken to
prepare the program for the next survey.

The Executive Director congratulated the president and thanked him for advancing quality assurance in
the university. #
