5. a) State EIGHT or more essential equipment and furniture you may need to
serve the immediate needs of a patient. (10marks)
(b) Explain how you will treat nose bleeding of a colleague in a food workshop(4 marks)
(c) State TWO main reasons for changing bandages regularly. (2marks)
(d) Differentiate between a “patient” and a “convalescent” (6 marks)

6. In the concept of Abraham Maslow’s “Hierarchy of needs”, and with the


help of a diagrammatic illustration, explain how a patient can be motivated
during the course of an illness. (10 marks)
