Program Description and Requirements
A Marine Service Technician (MST) is a skilled tradesperson who builds, refits,
maintains, surveys and/or repairs vessels up to 150 feet. They work in marinas,
boatyards, service centres and specialty businesses serving the ever-growing small
craft/recreational marine industry. Whole Boat instruction in 12 marine subjects ,how
they work together.
Hands-on workshops for experience and skill development and a Live online
demonstrations and theory based on real-world situations. Instruction by marine
industry experts who work in their specialty field every day. ‘Earn while you learn’
model keeps you working and logging hours toward your certificate. Workplace
support for skill development and competency assessment with your employer at
work.
-Grade 10 education or equivalent*, including: - English 10 or English language
proficiency - Any Math 10 -Science 10 - High school graduation is preferred.

Before you apply for MST training at Quadrant you must be working in the Marine
Service Industry.
Both the Apprentice and the Employer Sponsor should look at the MST Program
Outline and the scope of the MST trade, see the ITA website.
Minimum grade 10 Math and English. Contact us if you are concerned about your
math or language skills.
