• Collaborate with team ReCONNECT 4 (students, neurosurgeon, and industry partner – CEO of Poriferous) to design
the ReCONNECT Resorbable Connective Cranial Implant for Craniosynostosis FDA Class III device for 510k
premarket approval. The device is preoperatively designed for patient-specific treatment.
• Goal: improve surgical efficiency, reduce number of surgeries from 2 to 1, & improve patient outcomes
Adaptive Robotic Manipulation Lab: Robotics Research Experience for Undergraduates Summer 2021

• Researched the impacts of how mechanical grounding of compliant wearable devices for virtual reality affects users
• Designed passive compliant mechanisms to replace a spring-damper motor system & validate using KUKA robotic arm
• Goal: decrease cognitive load, reduce device weight by using passive compliant mechanisms over motors
