TECHNICAL PROJECTS
GWU BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, QUALITY OF LIFE PLUS Washington, D.C.
Hiking Prosthetic, Assistive Device Development for Transfemoral Amputees September 2019 – May 2020
• Worked with my student team to design an assistive device for a double transfemoral amputee injured in Afghanistan so that he
can hike more efficiently on uneven terrain. Our system focused on loss of balance caused by uneven terrain by optimizing the
user’s energy transfer throughout the gait cycle
• Personal Responsibilities: Practiced scrum methodology for project management, engaged with relevant stakeholders, designed
and 3D printed CAD parts in SolidWorks for device subsystems, worked with carbon fiber molding and curing to build device
subsystems, developed and tested design prototypes, analyzed able-bodied gait analysis

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
EXELON – Baltimore Gas & Electric | Operations Computer Support Windsor Mill, MD
Single Connectivity Model Project January 2021 – December 2021
• Supported the switch of data source for the OMS model by evaluating BGE’s electrical feeders against engineering drawings to find
inaccuracies and data transfer errors
• Used Microsoft Excel to log errors and used troubleshooting methods to find solutions to feeder and substation inaccuracies
• Achievements: Switched the data source of 1538 BGE feeders and over 800 substations within project deadline
SCADA Project September 2020 – December 2020
• Acted as support for Exelon’s project team to transfer Siemens SCADA system to a new OSI platform.
• Tested field data points within the new OSI system for accurate status, indication, control, and analog readings; troubleshoot when
testing inaccuracies arise
Achievements: Built over 100 functional Voltage Control and Ratings display pages within deadline requirements

LEFTWICH LAB | MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING WASHINGTON, D.C.

Undergraduate Research Assistant November 2017 – June 2019
• Facilitated in gathering information on cervical cerclage and cervical insufficiency through relevant literature
• Created synthetic cervices of varying dilation and geometry out of silicone rubber mixtures
• Achievements: Compression tested 10 different silicone mixture materials to develop distinct elastic moduli from the resultant
stress-strain curves to show likelihood of cervical insufficiency based on the composition of tissue, height of cervix and type of
dilation

GWU DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER ENGINEERING WASHINGTON, D.C.

Student Laboratory Technician June 2018 – May 2020
• Collaborated with faculty, students, teaching assistants, and department research staff in carrying out experiments and tests in the
department laboratories and providing troubleshooting and calibration equipment services when necessary
• Achievements: Researched, tagged, and sorted new electrical equipment into over 100 parts kits for student use in laboratory
hardware courses

Collegiate Achievements
• GWU Presidential Scholarship: competitive scholarship awarded to accomplished students August 2016 – May 2020
• Summer Undergraduate Program in Engineering Research (SUPER) 2018: Research fellowship Summer 2018
• Professional Organizations: Active Sister of Alpha Omega Epsilon, a Social and Professional Sorority for women in STEM;
Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES)
