Project Experience
NV Medtech
Project Engineering Intern June 2022 – September 2023
• Evaluated F2 device manual wire-joint welding process to determine how to automate the process most
effectively to increase repeatability and throughput.
• Coordinated with a team to delegate subassembly design requirements and responsibilities.
• Developed a 3-axis joint welding machine using Arduino motion controls; leveraging Nordson EFD
technology to control fluid flow and deposition.
Mechanical Engineering Intern May 2022 – September 2022
• Overhauled F2 device embolic filter inspection by designing new fixtures, integrating a new camera, optics,
and image processing software
• Responsible for testing and collecting data on the embolic filtration manufacturing process for process
improvement and repeatability
• Designed and prototyped 3 iterations of a new embolic filter fabrication machine to suit new device
parameters using data collected; optimized embolic filter by decreasing pore size by a factor of 20.

Cal Poly EMPOWER Student Association

Team Lead – Automated Dilator Inspection System (Edwards Life Sciences) September 2022 – June 2023
• Coordinated with sponsor and team on project subassembly designs, manufacturing, and testing of system to
ensure project meet specifications.
• Designed and manufactured inspection system structure, fixturing for the femoral artery dilator, actuator and
sensor housings, and camera mount.
• Implemented mechanical controls and image acquisition to automate the inspection process to less than 1
minute per device.
Design Lead – Quarterly Design Project September – December 2021
• Designed adaptive exercise equipment for the San Luis Obispo Achievement House to accommodate people
with limited range of motion and motor skills
