1. Anapathya yoga: When the Lord of Lagna or the 1st house, Jupiter, 5th house and 7th
house are weak. By weak it can be said that they are either in debility or placed in any
of trika or malefic 6th, 8th or 12th houses or in conjunction or in aspect with natural
malefic planets like Saturn, Rahu or Ketu.
2. Dehakashta Yoga
If there are malefic planets in 4th and 6th houses then Deha kashta yoga gets formed in birth
chart.

4th house stands for mother, family happiness, immovable assets.

6th house stands for debts, illness, enemies, co-employees.
If 4th and 6th house are in malefic condition, then:-
- One might be remain disturbed for his/her mother.
- One family happiness will be curtailed.
- One will find difficulty in acquiring immovable assets.
- One might face health problems.
- One may find difficult to pay debts.

In this way deh kastha yoga occurs which in English means health, body and mental
problems.
3. The Lord of Lagna, Jupiter or Venus should occupy a quadrant.

Results.

• The subject will be endowed with long life

• wealth
• and political favours.

If all the three factors above referred viz., the ascendant lord, Jupiter and Venus are in
kendras, the Yoga would be rendered highly powerful with the result all the blessings of the
Yoga will manifest

4. The ascendant lord in a movable sign aspected by a benefic gives rise to this Yoga.

Results.

• The native will be happy,

• will possess a well-developed body,
• will become rich
• and will enjoy life.

Remarks.

Leading a happy life is different from having amenities needed for it.

Lord of Lagna must be in a movable sign and some benefic must aspect him.

Some people are indifferent to bodily care and comforts, while there are others who, despite
meager earnings, will look after their body with the utmost care.

5. Balarishta Dosha.
• Moon in 6th/8th/12th position from the Ascendant (Lagna) associated with malefic
planets Sun/Mars/Saturn/Rahu/Ketu or aspected by these malefic planets.
• Mars in Ascendant or 8th house associated with Sun/Saturn.
• Sun in its own house (Leo sign) associated with Rahu/Ketu or Moon in its own house
(Cancer sign) associated with Rahu/Ketu.
• childbirth takes place 48 minutes before Sunrise or 48 minutes after Sunset is also
Balarishta Dosha.

6. The word Beeja means seed and the word Kshetra means the field. This alludes to the
fertility of the male seed and the womb that receives and grows the seed.
Beeja Sphuta – The Seed

This is the calculation of the factor that affects the fertility of a male. It translates as his ability to
be the seed to create a child.

To calculate the Beeja Sphuta, the planets that are studied are Jupiter, Venus and the Sun. The
logic behind this is easy to understand. Jupiter is the natural Karaka for children. Venus is also
known as Shukra which also signifies the sperm of the man. The Sun is the natural Karaka for
father. So, these three factors add up to define the ability of a man to be fertile. To calculate this
we take the degrees of the planets Jupiter, Venus and Sun and add them up. This result indicates
a degree in a Rashi. When we look at that degree we also study which Navamsa the degree falls
in.

Interpretation Of The Beeja Sphuta

To interpret the Beeja Sphuta we consider
(a) The Rashi that the Beeja Sphuta falls in the Rashi chart (D1) and
(b) the Navamsa Rashi that it falls in.

If both a and b are in odd or masculine signs, it is a great boost to the fertility of the man. If both
a and b are in even or female signs the opposite is true. The man lacks virility and the ability to
have offspring. If one of the factors is in an even sign and the other is in an odd sign, there are
difficulties and delays in having children but there is hope. Performing remedies, doing mantras
and Homas help. In such a case the person would be best advised to consult a doctor and
undergo fertility treatments in order to have a child.

Kshetra Sphuta – The Field

Kshetra is a field. The field will only bear a crop if it is fertile. Even if the seed is good, a barren
field causes difficulties. To calculate the Kshetra Sphuta one must study the planets that affect
female fertility. These planets are Jupiter, Moon and Mars. Jupiter is the natural Karaka for
children. The female reproductive cycle as per the Vedic texts is governed by Moon and Mars. To
calculate the Ksetra Sphuta we take the degrees of the planets Jupiter, Moon and Mars and add
them up. This result indicates a degree in a Rashi. When we look at that degree we also study
which Navamsa the degree falls in.

Interpretation Of The Kshetra Sphuta

To interpret the Kshetra Sphuta we consider

(a) The Rashi that the Kshetra Sphuta falls in the Rashi chart (D1) and
(b) the Navamsa Rashi that it falls in.
If both a and b are in even female Rashis we can say that the person is not likely to have fertility
issues. If both a and b are in odd signs there are serious fertility issues. Suppose one is in an
even sign and the other in an odd sign there is the hope of having a child after great struggle and
delay. The person should perform astrological remedies as called for. It is advisable to go to a
fertility doctor in order to get the appropriate treatment.
SECTION -4
5. Combinations for childlessness in female chart

• The 5th House and its Lord are hemmed between Jupiter and malefic, or when karaka
Jupiter has a malefic association, the native will suffer child loss.
• If the lord or ruler of 1st, 5th and 7th Houses or Bhavas and Jupiter are afflicted due
to the aspect or occupation by Malefics or when in conjunction with them, similar
fate can be experienced.
• The 5th lord without benefic aspect is weak with a malefic in 5th House.
• Lords of the 6th, 8th or 12th are in conjunction with 5th lord, or without benefic
conjunction or aspect.
• Moon and Jupiter placed in evil Houses or lords of the 5th from birth ascendant and
Chandra or Moon Lagna are in evil houses.
• Mars and Saturn aspect the 5th House. The weak lord of the 2nd or the 7th house sits
in the 5th House.
• The 5th House Lord is in conjunction with Mars and/or Rahu.
• The 5th House Lord and Jupiter lie in conjunction with Mars.
• Sun and Venus are in conjunction with the 5th lord.
• A malefic is in the 1st, 1st lord Is in the 5th. The 5th lord is in the 3rd lord and the
Moon is in the 4th House.
• The 5th lord malefic and in the 12th house from the Ascendant.
• Ketu lies in the 5th house from the Ascendant or together with the 5th lord.
• Scorpio, Virgo, Taurus and Leo are believed to be barren Rashis. Indian Vedic
astrology suggests that if Saturn lies in the 12th house (8th from the 5th) then it
denies children to Sagittarius Ascendants. This is also the case of Cancer and Saturn
natives in the 12th house. Based on astrological conclusions, it is believed that
Sagittarius and Cancer Ascendants have Mars as the 5th house Lord.
• Responsible Yoga for Childlessness
• The chances of having children also depend on several other factors, one amongst
those is that Napunsaka Yoga arises in the horoscope. Brihat Parasara Hora suggests
that when Moon and Venus are placed in a Lagna conjoined with Mars or with Saturn
and the 5th House is occupied or aspected by a malefic in a woman's horoscope, then
the female will be childless.
