Presentation
      Secondary School No.7, is a school unit with legal personality located 7 km from
the center of Borșa city, city located at the foot of the highest mountain in the Eastern
Carpathians (Rodnei Massif with the Pietrosul peak), in the Băile Borșa
neighborhood was an old mining center of Maramureș county, very flourishing, long
time ago. This school year, at the Secondary School No.7, 325 pupils and
preschoolers are enrolled. Here the students learn in 2 groups in the preschool cycle,
5 classes the primary cycle and 3 classes the secondary school cycle (5th, 6th, and 8th
grades). The school has in administrative subordination the Secondary School Nr. 6
(Structure - Rotundu) - a rounded unit, located in Borșa at a distance of 3 km from
the city center and at a distance of 5 km from the Secondary School No.7. In this
school (structure) are enrolled in this school year a number of 95 students and
preschoolers. Here the students learn in 3 classes at the primary school (CP, class I,
class II), 2 classes at the secondary school (class V, VII) and in 2 groups of
preschoolers. In both units, the teaching language is Romanian and the modern
languages studied are English at both primary and secondary levels, French at the
secondary level and Hungarian at the primary level (only at the Secondary School
No. 7). The teaching staff comprises 26 teachers: for preschool 5, for primary 9 and
12 for secondary education.
      Together with the community and parents, the school aims to increase school
outcomes for the next two years by addressing learning in more efficient, innovative
ways and adapting the teaching approach for the integration of all children and
achieving school success by each student.
      The current management team carried out a needs analysis and as a result, it was
identified as a priority to mobilize the organization in developing projects to increase
the professional quality of the human resource in order to motivate students for a
conscious learning, for the integration of all students in learning, who leads to their
success in life as well as the prevention of school failure and the inclusion of all
students in a higher form of schooling, increasing the school performance for each
student.
Projects
       We have never participated in Erasmus + projects, but we have participated in
eTwinning projects.
One of the most important dimensions of eTwinning is the collaboration between
teachers, students, schools, parents and local authorities. In eTwinning, teachers work
together and organize activities for their students. Thus, they play an active role,
interact, analyze, make decisions, respect each other and acquire specific 21st century
skills. ETwinning projects involve contributions from each team member. Starting
from these premises, we started the first eTwinning project in December 2017.
The project "We play to learn / We play as we Learn!" Which was carried out on the
eTwinning portal in collaboration with other schools in Europe (Poland, Republic of
Moldova, Ukraine, Romania). In this case, the project founders were from Romania,
that is, we and the Republic of Moldova. For this project we received the National
Quality Certificate, the European Quality Certificate as well as the 3rd prize at the
National Conference of eTwinning prizes in Romania. The project link is

With the winning of this project we became eTwinning School in 2019-2020 which is
a great honor for us, community and country.
The image of our school has been promoted in many projects, symposiums,
conferences by the Ambassador Professor Scientix who is part of the school's
teachers in 2017, by its promotion of the European Schoolnet Academy and School
Eduction Gateway portals.
Why do we want to participate in an Erasmus + project?
Because we want to modernize and internationalize education in our community.
Because we want vocational training and working with young people learning from
new experiences. Because such a project gives us the opportunity to develop the
skills on all 3 levels (knowledge, skills, aptitudes) as well as to exchange experiences
with people with similar interests from other countries. In order to develop our
managerial capacity and to better respond to the needs of the beneficiaries we serve.
Another challenge concerns the development of social capital among young people,
the emancipation of young people and their ability to participate actively in society,
in accordance with the provisions of the Lisbon Treaty, in order to "encourage the
participation of young people in the democratic life in Europe". This aspect can also
be addressed through non-formal learning activities, which aim to improve the skills
and competences of young people, as well as to promote active citizenship, which we
wish for by participating in this Erasmus + project.

your country if we can’t find a coordinator from other countries to
have more chances to be approved? This is really an important
answer because I need to know this now to organise everything on
time. I think you know that we have more chances to get approval
