I’am a living being just like you

Eating, sleeping is what I do

My home is burning but I am adjourning
My friends are gone but what I have undergone
Machines are destroying
And our habitat is exploiting
I have a breath but I am left with death…
-Nishanth Mandava, 5H

We’re in danger
Help us, stranger
Our home is being taken away
And we want to stay

The future we have predicted

The next generation won’t know we existed
Please help us, our end is near
We’re full of fear

We’re scared
And pollution has scored
We’re full of fear
Is the end near?
-Suhani Palla, 5G

Where is my home?
I’ve hunted for my pelt
Your making my home melt
Where is my home?
Like a hog, you took it as your own
We can’t shout for help! You’re destroying our health
-Naira Deetya Addla, 5F

A dead plant won’t grow

Why not just let them go?
Cutting trees is a piece of cake
But for god sake,
let buds bloom
And don’t let them gloom
Change this fate before it's too late!
Let seeds grow into trees
And this shall be a lesson for human beings.
-Ashmi Velicheti, 5H
We’re getting extinct, we seek your help
I am the last one left, and feel just like my family and friends
Once I will be taken away, there will be no one left
The deserts will become barren,
The forests will become dry,
And the oceans will rise,
Once this happens, the habitats will die
And we will cry
Only if we take action, biomes will thrive
-Krishiv Garodia, 5H
Varish Tatineni, 5H

I am a jaguar
Extinct I shall be
If you don’t care for my habitat
I will no longer be
They are burning my home,
Killing my friends,
I see big machines near me
If you don’t care for my habitat
I will no longer be

I hear some of you are worried for me and my cats

Grateful for your gesture as you care for my habitat
My friends and I thank you from our heart,
Request you all to save our habitat
-Aarnaa Malani, 5H

Today he’s alive

Tomorrow his end could arrive
His friends and family have disappeared
The last one alive, death he feared
Broken homes and climate change
Have made his life unbearable and strange
Hunters, riffles, and shotguns
If they find him for his life, he runs
No shelter, no food, no water
He becomes weaker and a victim of slaughter
Weeks and weeks ahead
It's time to go to bed
He closes his eyes
And slowly alies
-Aayush Yanimadula Roa, 5H
I’am gone, I’ve fled
I’m extinct, I’m dead
Those humans really made me cry
But now they have got me and made me die
Step by step we will all be dead
Because pollution will turn our world red
Soon the heat will kill us all
And life on Earth will take a fall
It's time for me to say goodbye
I really hope you all don’t die
-Jasraj Kulkarni, 5G

I wake up, oh I’m alive

I walk up the hill and see the sun arise
I pray, “Oh god, please spare my life”
I hear a loud ‘bang!’
A sudden pain goes through my heart
I scream in pain as I look around
I lay on the ground feeling myself fade away
-Sahasra, 5A

What is our rainforest worth?

Some leaves or just a pile of dirt
Is it a home, or a biome
But really what is it worth

What is its value, a shelter or rescue

For animals in bad condition
But really what's its vision

The rainforest is a home & a biome

It keeps the animals safe and sound
It has a wide range of ecosystems,
Some even round

This is what our rainforests really worth

Not leaves or pile of dirt
