This Service Agreement represents the entirety of the agreement between FNU and the Instructor. Compensation is based on the
total hours indicated in this service agreement only and the instructor hereby waives the right to compensation for any additional
hours the instructor may voluntarily spend perfoming FNU-related tasks, unless such hours are approved and incorporated into an

Faculty Responsibili�es
As a faculty member at FNU, you will abide by the policies and procedures presented in the FNU Faculty Handbook
and all safety rules of the ins�tu�on. Addi�onally, you agree to refrain from outside ac�vi�es that may be in conflict
with your faculty appointment. Tardiness and absences need to be reported immediately to your immediate
supervisor and the Dean’s Office at 305-821-3333 (HC), (305) 226-9999 (SC), and (305) 231-3326 (TC). Faculty
members must report any pre-arranged / scheduled absence(s) three working days in advance to their immediate
supervisor and the Dean’s Office. Emergency absences must be reported immediately. Full-�me faculty is required
to par�cipate in the commencement exercises and faculty in-services (Faculty Workdays).

As part of the learning environment, the faculty member must:

• Follow the Weekly Planner as stated in the syllabus.


• Start and end class on �me as per the class schedule, ensuring all contact hours are met.
• Contact hours missed due to a holiday, weather, or faculty absence must be made up during the
Term/Semester.
• U�lize SimpleSyllabus, Electronic Book services (Cengage, Nat Geo, Springer, etc.), Watermark, Typhon, etc.
• Wear professional business a�re, and a visible FNU Faculty ID, and reinforce students wearing the FNU ID in
the classroom.
• Submit the final grades for each course by 5:00 pm on the last Friday of each term to the Registrar through the
Faculty Portal.
• Submit a copy of each final exam and answer key to the Program Director/Department Head.

Your compensa�on will be based on the number of total course contact hours, clinical/prac�cum, and University
service hours actually worked, hours not to exceed column D ________.

the add/drop period, which will alter the total contracted hours.

By signing this Service Agreement:

You agree to complete the en�rety of this Service Agreement and to comply with the total contracted hours and
du�es.

You agree to follow the guidelines outlined in the Faculty Handbook regarding student contact, grading, fair and
ethical conduct, and the use of the so�ware pla�orms provided by the ins�tu�on.

You agree to the university atendance and �mekeeping guidelines for employees as detailed in the Staff
Handbook.
