STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (Express in 150 Words as to why you are interested?
What makes you eligible for the post you applied and how will you plan to involve the
larger student communities towards overall development of the school community. We are
looking for your authenticity of intent, innovative ideas, and a sense of purpose)

I am interested in pursuing this position because I believe that my leadership skills

and unwavering sportsmanship spirit would definitely help the members of our
team, the Alps, to reach new heights that haven’t been seen before. Since I have
competitively played netball and football, I learnt the importance of good
leadership and sportsmanship. As well as my organizational skills can come in
handy when coordinating house events.

I strongly believe that females should participate in sport more, so when become
House Captain I will endeavour to engage more girls into participating in sport.
Not only will I strive to increase the participation of girls in sports, but I will also
attempt to engage teachers and school staff in sport events. This will be great for
the school’s morale.

I am confident that I can help people to achieve better results in sports thus pushing
my team forward whilst having fun along the way. Due to my active participation
in sport, I have analysed many players and their weaknesses. This skill can help me
in improving my team by identifying their weaknesses and informing them on how
to become better on the field.

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE 2 (Express in 150 Words) what was the biggest mistake
you made in your life? How did it impact you and what was your key take away? Do you
believe it still has some relevance in your life today?

When I first started playing football competitively, I was apprehensive to take

risks, I blamed the loses of our team on specific players, and I took feedback
personally. I discovered that, by not taking risks and disdaining feedback given to
me, I was not preforming to the best of my abilities.

Furthermore, I quickly learned that a few people’s weakness is not a viable answer
as to why the team lost because the whole team contributes to the outcome. Even
then, I realized, losing is not a bad thing it’s simply a learning curve and an
incentive to work harder.

Since then, I have taken feedback into consideration, became more confident in
gameplay and started displaying good sportsmanship. This has helped me improve
a lot, not just as a football player, but as person.
